TL;DR: ISODME.com is shutting down. You can register for an ISODME ServaRica service and open a ticket with us for migration assistance. Thank you for four amazing years!
Hello there,
Four and a half years ago, from a Massachusetts basement, I hosted my first website on a Raspberry Pi 3B+. Soon, I bought a server, upgraded my home to business internet, and began hosting websites for others.
Naturally, as web hosting customers outgrew shared hosting limits, we expanded to virtual private servers and then dedicated servers. We began hosting so many sites that our servers moved from our basement to data centers.
As we grew from just me to three friends, we required more specialized software. We contributed to the development of Virtualmin through reporting issues and suggesting fixes, and we created our own WHMCS module for Proxmox virtual machines.
Much of our revenue came from dedicated servers, and in 2020, our GPU product line exploded. We created a new brand, Dash Cloud, to sell this. This became TensorDock as well.
Unfortunately, as we focused more and more on high-performance computing our ISODME.com brand for website hosting/VPS servers stagnated, and this year (2022), with rising inflation and increasing OVH IP costs, it began losing money. It is no longer worthwile for us to invest resources. As such, as of November 26, 2022, ISODME.com will be shutting down.
We're partnering with ServaRica — all paying customers will have the option to switch to ServaRica's hosting. If you're an existing customer, you can register for an ISODME ServaRica plan at no additional pricing, and you can open a ticket with us to help you migrate from our infrastructure to theirs.
The last four years have been amazing. I've grown so much both personally and professionally through operating a web hosting service, and I hope you enjoyed the ride with us as well.
All the best,
Jonathan
